There are 6 major themes that connect all of the concepts of Biology. They are all listed and described in Chapter 1 of your textbook. I want you to pick one of the themes and describe its role in connecting Biology. I then want you to tell me some of the technology out there that might be used to help study that theme. Each Theme may only be discussed twice and one of them three times. So if there is one that you really want to do, I suggest that you do it before anyone else does.

Scientific Study
A student in your class has been experimenting with colors an dyes. One day, she announces that she has discovered a dye that makes clothing change its color when the temperature changes by a certain number of degrees. The teacher has asked you to be a member of a team of students that will evaluate you classmate's discovery.
Questions?
1. Describe how you would test the dye.
2. How would you decide which fabrics to test?
3. How would you choose the temperature range to be studied?
4. What are some of the different jobs that your team members could do in the evaluation?
5. Describe a situation in which your classmate's discovery might be useful.
